She formulates every product herself for Irvmika BHC and Pawradise by Brock, using the same recipe methodology she developed as a professional chef

Tamika Rowe is a professional chef who is also the founder and formulator behind two Black-owned brands operating in categories that have nothing to do with each other: Irvmika The Body & Hair Chef, a handmade hair and body care line, and The Pawradise Pack, a fresh dog food and grooming brand. Both are built, tested, and produced by hand from her kitchen in Ellenwood, Georgia. She did not set out to build either company. Each began as a problem she could not solve on a shelf. The first was her own hair.
After years of breakage, inconsistency, and products that promised more than they delivered, Rowe stopped shopping and started formulating, approaching hair care the way she approaches a recipe. “The discipline is the same whether you're in a professional kitchen or formulating hair care,” shesaid. “Start with what's real. Don't cut corners. And never put something out that you wouldn't use yourself.”
That became Irvmika BHC. The lineup is deliberately small with seven products, including a biotin and Aloe growth serum, a hydrating hair butter cream, balms, and body essentials, each formulated for a specific concern: dryness, breakage, or growth. “I could make forty products and I have formulated a lot. I have seven,” she said. “ I want to focus on the key problem areas with products that work without overwhelming the customer once they land on the site.”
The second problem was Brock and Brooklyn, Rowe's dogs. Brooklyn's health was declining, and long ago the food in her and Brock’s bowls were full of ingredients she could not identify. “I read labels for a living,” Rowe said. “I couldn't keep feeding my dog something I couldn't pronounce.” So she cooked for Brock and Brooklyn the way she cooks for people, whole ingredients, prepared fresh, portioned by hand. While Brock was already doing well, Brooklyn's coat, energy, and appetite returned. That recovery became The Pawradise Pack, which now offers fresh dog meals and grooming products built on the same standard.
Founders who cross from culinary work into personal care are not unheard of, and neither are chef-developed pet foods. What sets Rowe apart is that she operates in both categories at once, formulating every product herself rather than licensing her name to a manufacturer. To mark her birthday, Rowe is running a customer giveback from September 3 through September 9, 2026. Irvmika BHC is offering free shipping on all orders during the window, with a growth serum sample included in the first 50 orders. Pawradise by Brock is offering a five-meal starter pack for $50 to the first 50 customers.
Both brands are available online at irvmikabhc.com and thepawradisepack.com
