Katrice Williams and Katrelle Scott, two African American twin sisters, have spent decades promoting natural hair care in Cincinnati, Ohio through their two salons, Love That Hair in Sharonville and CinciNatural Center in St. Bernard. While they operate separate businesses, both remain committed to helping their clients embrace and care for their natural hair.
The sisters began as travel hairstylists across Ohio, building a loyal clientele before opening their salons. Their shared mission is to change how people view natural hair and encourage confidence in textured styles."With our experience, I noticed that it just took so long. A lot of people just didn't care to do natural hair, so we wanted to kind of change that perspective to inspire people instead of being ashamed of their hair," Katrice told WCPO.
Growing up, the twins struggled to manage their thick, coarse hair, but those challenges ignited their passion for natural hair care. Today, CinciNatural Center offers services for clients with alopecia, psoriasis, or anyone seeking healthier hair. Love That Hair provides loc treatments, braids, and styling options for all ages.
Both salons also offer classes to teach clients how to care for and style their natural hair, whether they have coils, curls, or locs. As their businesses grow, Williams is studying trichology to expand her services and provide more scalp treatments. Meanwhile, Scott continues to work as a trichologist and hairstylist for major events like LA Fashion Week and Disney productions.
"We really can help people's energy be shifted and make them feel good about themselves. We are very grateful God blessed us with this talent to bless everyone else," said Katrelle.
Through their expertise and dedication, the twin sisters continue to inspire self-confidence and pride in natural hair across their community.
