Alexis Williams, founder and CEO of Aloha Glamour, the world’s first “Afrowaiian” high fashion brand, has joined forces with the exclusive Simon Properties to create a unique Black-owned apparel boutique pop-up at one of Simon’s Prime Outlet Malls in Gulfport, Mississippi. The pop-up shop will run from October to December 2021 and makes history as the first synergy of its kind for the prominent Simon properties.

Simon Property Group, Inc. is a global leader in owning premier shopping, dining, entertainment, and mixed-use destination properties across North America, Europe, and Asia. The American real estate investment trust provides community gathering places for millions of people every day and generates billions in annual sales. It is the largest owner of shopping malls in the United States.

Aloha Glamour is a ready-to-wear Afrowaiian (the fashion portmanteau we never asked for but needed) brand. A juxtaposition of cultures, accentuated by the seamless fusing of West African notes coupled with the island prints of Hawaii - Aloha merges to create an exuberant cornucopia of fashion pieces that you will want to wear over and over again.

Founded by an Afghan Veteran who suffered the insurmountable loss of her young child, Aloha Glamour was created from the broken, colorless pieces of her life. It expanded beyond being therapy and fittingly grew into the brand that went viral for its Afro print-inspired face masks. The flamboyant masks were a welcome reprieve from the otherwise bland surgical ones that have been donned in an effort to circumvent the spread of the pandemic. It is safe to say that Aloha Glamour created the catalyst of fashion-forward face masks that save lives while keeping you chic.

This joint venture will see the bold hues of color and culture morph with Simon’s legion of exclusive properties creating what can only be described as a world class shopping experience. Aloha Glamour will be presenting pieces from its women, children, and men’s lines. Aloha will also introduce their African Print Stocking Stuffers during every shopper’s heaven - Black Friday.

Fresh off its successful New York Fashion Week debut, Aloha Glamour plans to showcase its scintillating wares from all its collections. Aloha brings to Outlet Mall the work of 8 artisanal Ghanian women to the global stage.

Aloha Glamour is not simply an enviable brand waiting to grace your closet. The company of walking art pieces also takes its corporate social responsibility seriously. In its most recent acts, Aloha Glamour is the primary benefactor of a free school of 50 plus kids. At the institution, Aloha supplements the teacher’s salary by $100/month and assists in paying for long-overdue renovations in the school’s washroom and kitchen. The brand has also recently broke ground to construct a much-needed classroom.

“It was a no-brainer to enter into this partnership with Simon Properties Outlet Malls. They are a world-class brand with a consistent history of successes all over the world. I want to bring the love and light of Aloha Glamour to everyone, and the best way to do that is through Simon properties,” quips the owner, veteran, and mother.

Afrowaiian Clothing Boutique at the Premier Outlet Mall will have a soft opening at the end of October, with its official opening on the 1st Monday of November in celebration of the owner’s late daughter’s 6th birthday on November 6.
