Dante Lee, an entrepreneur and HBCU grad who started his marketing and PR firm while on campus, estimates that he has helped more than 1,000 Black-owned businesses generate $100,000 in revenue or more since the pandemic began. A graduate of Bowie State University class of 2002, he is infamously known as a marketing genius and deems himself The Revenue Doctor.
Marketing a business is not easy, and for this reason, Lee has created a unique press release distribution service called BlackPR.com that helps entrepreneurs get their stories published in various Black newspapers, magazines, and blogs across the country. The service also helps them get potential interviews on radio and TV stations that have predominantly Black audiences. He also highly publicizes the accomplishments of Black entrepreneurs via several online publications that he owns including BlackNews.com, BlackBusiness.com, and BlackHistory.com.
“African Americans have an annual buying power of $1 trillion dollars,” Dante says. “But there are very few affordable services that help marketers reach these consumers. What I’ve created helps underprivileged business owners affordably and effectively achieve their marketing goals.”
Lee started his company 21 years ago back in the year 2000 and has grown the company significantly. He is also the founder of BlackJobs.com and HispanicJobs.com, two platforms that help Black and Latino job seekers connect with employers that are hiring.
