10-Year Old Black Entrepreneur Gets Sweet "Shark Tank" Deal

Mikaila Ulmer, founder of Bee Sweet Lemonade

Sometimes, the passion to become an entrepreneur comes at a very early age. For 10-year-old Mikaila Ulmer of Austin, Texas, that age was four years old. She started by selling lemonade out of her own lemonade stand, using her great-grandmother's recipe. But she showed her true entrepreneur spirit by taking her business much further.

The Shark Tank deal

Little Mikaila managed to put her lemonade on store shelves in Texas as well as three other states, including Arkansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. But even that was not enough for this busy little bee. At just 10 years old, she presented her idea to the panel of investors on Shark Tank. It was ultimately Daymond John's deal of $60,000 for 20 percent of her business that she accepted.

Small but mighty

When Mikaila appeared on Shark Tank, she amazed them at how professional and knowledgeable she was. As Daymond John explained, "She knew the business and knew where she wanted to go." "That's my youngest entrepreneur partner."

The future

Mikaila and her Shark Tank partner are currently looking for a distributor to take her business to the next level. The future looks sweet for Mikaila.
