Nominations Now Being Accepted For a 2014 National Small Business Week Award

Since 1963, the U.S. Small Business Administration has been recognizing outstanding entrepreneurs and small business owners for awards during the National Small Business Week. This event is being held May 12-16 in 2014, and now is the time to send in your nomination and be recognized.

Small business owners across the nation have make significant achievements that have brought great benefits to their communities and have contributed to our nation’s economy. Each year, small business owners are recognized with awards in many categories that include Small Business Person of the Year, Exporter of the Year, awards of excellence for women-owned businesses, and other awards for innovation, service and contributions to disaster recovery.

There are success stories among so many small business owners, and this special week of recognition gives business owners an opportunity to share their story with others. Each award category has its own criteria for eligibility. The deadline for submitting nominations is January 17, 2014.

Nominations may be submitted online or sent directly to SBA District Offices. If you are a small business owner with a success story to tell, you could be the next winner of a National Small Business Week award.
