Cortrell Winkfield, the 25-year-old African American founder of Velvera, the world's first heated cake stand designed to keep cakes, pastries, and baked goods warm while on display, has announced the upcoming launch of his new Signature Collection, which features larger and more advanced heated cake stands. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, his invention went viral earlier this year and even landed him an interview on the Tamron Hall Show.
His new collection features a larger serving surface, enhanced warming performance, cordless operation, and premium materials designed for home entertainers, bakeries, luxury hospitality, and event professionals.

Entering Hospitality
Velvera also announced that the Signature Collection will make its first hotel placement in California, marking the brand's continued expansion into the hospitality industry. The installation represents another step in Velvera's strategy of bringing luxury heated serveware to hotels, resorts, restaurants, and commercial food service.

Inspired by a Dream
Cortrell says the idea for Velvera was inspired by a dream he had in the middle of the night. In the dream, he says that he saw the cake stand sitting on his grandmother's dining table, where warm desserts and family gatherings created lasting memories.
