Shinju Spirits, the Black-owned brand behind the Shinju Japanese Whisky, has secured a major investment from Pronghorn Investment Management and is now making history as the first Japanese whisky brand to join the company's portfolio.Shinju Spirits benefits from Pronghorn's specialty investing in Black-owned and founded businesses in the spirits industry. With the new funding from Pronghorn, Shinju Spirits will boost production, introduce new products, and expand its presence in the U.S. market. The investment will also enable Shinju Spirits to enhance its marketing efforts and develop its premium whisky lineup.
In 2021, Shinju Spirits also received a $100 million investment from Diageo, a global spirits company, which invested $100 million as part of a 10-year plan based on achieving key milestones.
Since launching in 2019, Shinju Spirits has made its products available in the U.S., UK, and EU. Shinju Spirits CEO and co-founder Janon Costley expressed enthusiasm about the new partnership.
