Courtney Williamson, the Founder and CEO of Glo Body, a Black woman-owned body skincare brand dedicated to helping people with dry and sensitive skin achieve a smooth and healthy glow while boosting their confidence and well-being, is celebrating the launch of her new bath soak line. Most people experience dry skin at some point, according to the American Academy of Dermatology Association, especially people with Black or brown skin. Glo Body’s bath soaks are formulated for those with dry skin who want to enhance their daily body skincare routine with a product that smooths and hydrates.

People with sensitive skin often worry about breakouts from skincare products, which can make them anxious to try new formulas. However, Glo Body's bath soaks are crafted specifically for individuals with skin conditions and those who easily break out, using gentle ingredients to ensure a soothing and safe experience.

Having dry skin can be embarrassing. Over one-third of people with excessively dry skin report feeling angry and embarrassed about their skin’s appearance. Glo Body’s mission is to reduce the stigma while offering skin relief. Initial customers reported smooth, hydrated skin after the first bath.

"I founded Glo Body after experiencing severe burnout and stress-related eczema flare-ups due to job tension," said Courtney Williamson. "I spent so much time working as the CEO of a medical device startup that my health deteriorated and my stress was through the roof. Most of the Black women that I know can relate to tremendous workplace stress. We give so much and leave little for ourselves. I stopped being comfortable putting myself last and started experimenting with natural ways to soothe my skin and lower my stress levels. That’s how I created Glo Body’s bath soaks. This company exists to remind people, especially Black women, that our skin health matters and that we deserve to be pampered and nourished."

Glo Body combats chronic dry skin with natural, fragrance-free ingredients, including coconut oil, a dermatologist-recommended topical ingredient. Coconut oil repairs the skin barrier while reducing water evaporation.

The new bath soak line offers three scents: Recover, a peppermint and cedarwood essential oil blend with French green clay to relax muscles and ease tension; Dreamland, a soothing lavender and chamomile blend with magnesium flakes to support restful sleep; and Coco Escape, a vanilla essential oil and coconut milk combination reminiscent of an island escape.

Each bath soak pouch retails at $10 for a 5-ounce pouch. You can take 1 to 2 baths with one pouch. Glo Body is available for purchase on Glo Body’s website at GloBody.co
