James Fisher Jr, founder and CEO of Mission Fit Fitness

Meet James Fisher Jr, founder and CEO of Mission Fit Fitness, which has just received a $400K investment from two private equity firms - Wellvest Capital and the Green Health Firm. James, who is a personal trainer and fitness instructor, helps employers who are turning to online and virtual options to help meet their employees' health and wellness needs.
Mission Fit Fitness, located in the heart of Dallas, Texas, has spent the past seven years providing health and wellness education to employees and employers all across the country. Along the way, the company has developed the most unique workout formula in the area and maybe in the country.

The company's message is simple:

1. Healthy employees are more productive than chronically ill employees.

2. It costs less to prevent injuries or illnesses than to treat them after they occur.

Mission Fit Fitness ties worker productivity directly to the healthcare issue. They believe that traditional approaches to the current healthcare crisis are misdirected. These traditional efforts are what we call reactive -- that is, they wait until after the worker has been stricken with illness or injury, and then pay for the necessary treatments.

The approach, which emphasizes prevention and good health promotion, is much more proactive Mission Fit Fitness is made up of a team of Exercise Physiologist, Chiropractors, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Dietitians. Participants have even called Mission Fit Fitness sessions, "recess at work." With programs that include: Seed to Tree, Outsmarting Fat and Your Office is a Gym all of which are brought onsite to your place of employment or business. Along the way, they developed the most unique workout formula in the area and maybe in North America. With hundreds of people from dozens of companies satisfied. This business started with just one thousand dollars in the bank and has grown in few short years. As of March of this year Mission Fit Health partnered with two private equity and investment firms in Texas to expand the company starting early next year.

Due to strict regulations on how employers and companies are to use loans and grants during this time, many are choosing to reach out to us to provide virtual training, webinars and consulting where each employee can participate in everything from fitness workouts to nutrition and meal prep webinars paid for by their employer. Since March they have added over 45 new companies including Hospitals, Health Clinics, Schools, AAU Teams and Senior Living Communities across five states including Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New Mexico.

Mission Fit Fitness' investors, Wellvest Capital and the Green Health Firm, have invested over $15.3 million combined since 2001. Both firms believe that Mission Fit Fitness will be a game changer in the new way of health and fitness.
