Despite having a few issues with his daytime talk show, Forbes reports that Steve Harvey still earned approximately $44 million and secured the 5th spot in the magazine's list of the world's highest-paid TV show hosts this year.
Harvey's revenue wasn't really affected by his daytime talk show's apparent cancellation. Forbes Magazine reported on November 26 that Harvey's calculated earnings from June 2017 to June 2018 amounts to an estimated $44 million from his talk show Steve and the long-running game show, Family Feud.

Aside from those two, Harvey also hosts game shows Celebrity Family Feud, Little Big Shots, and its spin-offs Showtime at the Apollo and Steve Harvey's Funderdome.

The Los Angeles-based daytime talk show Steve debuted in 2017 after Chicago-based talk show Steve Harvey ended its run. It has shown impressive results along with Ellen DeGeneres programs. Steve itself saw a 27 percent increase to an individual day rating of 1.4 in its second season.

Three months ago, however, NBC reportedly decided to pull out the talk show Steve from 11 markets starting the fall of 2019. It will be replaced by singer Kelly Clarkson's debut talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Fortunately, Steve will not be entirely canceled. It will still air on non-NBC stations across the country, including those owned by Cox Media Group, E.W. Scripps and Hearst among others.

Regarding being pulled from several markets, Harvey used his radio show to share an inspiring message for his listeners back in September.

"All the bad times, all the failures, they became valuable experiences in my life," he said. "Every time I failed I learned a little bit more about getting up. Every time I was told 'no' it moved me one step closer to yes. It made me stronger. It toughened my skin. It made me learn how to deal with haters. It made me learn how to deal with people who don’t have your best interest at heart. It teaches you who is who in your life. It shows you who you can depend on and who you can't."

"And at the end of the day what has taught me most of all my hardships in my life, that it's really about me and God," he continued. "That is the one factor that has never been changed in my life."
