Natalie Dubose, Owner of Natalie's Cakes and More |
Rebuilding
After the police officer was cleared of all charges, the town went crazy, and Natalie's store was one that was heavily damaged. After just 6 months in business, it was enough to make many people give up, but not Natalie. She raised money through a Go Fund Me website and went right back to work doing what she does best--baking. Help came from unexpected donors, such as Patricia Heaton from Everybody Loves Raymond and Brandie Glanville from Real Housewives. So far, Natalie has raised $83,000 to help her reopen her store.
Not giving up
Natalie is going nowhere. She is staying right where she is and already busy filling orders for her customers. Determined to rise above the damage to the community caused by the riots, Natalie is focusing on repairing her store and filling customer orders for the holidays. She quickly expresses her appreciation for all the help she has received and states, “I’m very busy cleaning and trying to repair my business. I’m also trying to catch up on baking cakes."
Way to go Natalie!
